NH's PictureSort is a easy to use program for viewing, comparing, sorting, renaming and categorizing pictures and other files.
If you take photos with your digital camera, have some cd's with cliparts or download graphics from the web, you spend a lot of time to sort your collections, give pictures a name you can remember and to save them to places, where you will find them.
To do so, you can use expensive programs with tons of features you will never use. But unfortunately you have to pay for these features and because of this overhead using these programs is difficult. To store pictures, most of them use databases which are not compatible to other programs. Another problem is, that you have to rename and store one picture after the other. So you have a lot of work to do and at the end you are stuck to this program.
Or you can use some simple programs. One program to view pictures, another one to rename those pictures, and a third one to copy them to another folder. This means a lot of mouse clicks to select, view, copy and rename files.
That's why I wrote PictureSort. Within one single program, you can view and compare pictures, move one or more pictures to new folders and rename one or more pictures with only a few mouse clicks. And of course you can move and categorize all other files too.
To run version 2 Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or later must be installed. if you don't want to instal .NET, you can use version 1. Version 1 has nearly the same functions than version 2, without image editing and special functions.
